History
Chojiro Tani, a student of Kenwa Mabuni, founded Shukokai - "the way for all" - by studying the human body to maximise impact force. It is the style that brought biomechanical analysis into the dojo: higher stances, faster hip rotation, and the impact bag in modern training.
Principles
- Fast hip rotation as the engine of every technique
- High stances favouring speed and recovery
- Biomechanical study of impact: maximum force, minimum effort
- Training with impact equipment to measure real results
